Excel parameter values

I would like to have data table which is filled with result of a stored procedure and refreshed on button click.
Since this can't be done with closedXML, I created template with macro.

When i open template with closedXML, I should replace command text (stored procedure should be called with different parameters).
Since this also can't be done yet I thought I would write parameters values to some cells and than read them with macro when user clicks the button.

But I don't want that this values are visible on sheet.
What is the best way to store some hidden parameter values in excel with closedXML?

One way is to set font color to white and protect cell, that user can't clear this values.

It's a best practice to have a worksheet with all the configuration needed to use the spreadsheet. This sheet can be hidden from the user if he/she will not need to change the values.
