Hangs on .save() when adding more than 3 worksheets

Aug 23, 2011 at 10:21 AM

I'm having a problem generating my xlsx file.

It's a file with 22 worksheets with the size 394 KB. I try to add 5 more worksheets to it but it hangs. I try to .save() after each worksheet but the hangs only happen after i save the 3rd one.

I use the following code for creating the worksheets

string worksheet = "Presencas" + comeca.ToString("dd-MM-yyyy");

 I don't know whats wrong.

I can't reproduce this error on my own, can you post a piece of code that reproduces the error? If not can you send me the file you're using via email or as an attachment in an issue?

Thank you for your patience and help.

I'll make an working example for you to test it. Got to make some changes since it connects to a DB to pickup values to fill.

I'll send you when its ready.

I'm the one to thank you for the help!

Do you have problems if it is a web application ?

I have no idea how nobody had complained about that bug before but it's fixed now. Please try the latest check-in and let me know if it works for you (it does for me).

Thanks again for your feedback,

I notice that i'm loosing the header and footer text and image.

I don't think this happened in the previous version ?

P.S - It happens on the example application i send you with your new dll.

I'll work on it.

I guess nobody opened and saved a file with an image in the header/footer before because this wasn't working.

It's fixed on the latest check-in. The way it works now is that it keeps the images as long as you don't change the sheet's header or footer.

Thanks for the feedback.

Awesome work and response time!

Now it keep the headers and footers on the worksheets.

But if you create a worksheet from another one, using the CopyTo, the headers and footers disappear on the new one.

Can you check what's happening? thanks!

I keep trying different solutions but the problem still exists.

Images are not copied when you use .CopyTo because the library doesn't support images yet.

Are you thinking of implementing this any soon ?

Can't give you an ETA but I'll take a look at it soon.

Sep 15, 2011 at 3:20 PM

Greetings. Any progress on this subject? thanks!

Allowing images on the header/footer seems simple enough but I can't give you an ETA. This is 3rd on my to-do-list though (first need to fix named ranges when cells are shifted and fully implement auto filters).

I know it's not the news you want to hear...
