Hello,

How to access cell comments?! create/update or delete them?!

Thanks

Cell comments are not implemented yet.

Manuel,

Have you had a chance to implement working with cell comments since that post in February? If not, do you have any plans to get to it any time soon? Perhaps I could help with some coding, if you can provide necessary assistance with understanding your framework.

Thanks,
Fyodor

I have even less time right now so all I can do is fix bugs and add small things to the library. Someone is helping me implement pivot tables though. I provide him with the interface I want and he's making the implementation.

If you want we could do the same for comments (I provide you with the interface and you implement it). Let me know if you're interested.

I certainly understand you not having enough time for maintaining such a comprehensive library. Glad you have time at all :)
And why not. On the surface it sounds like comments should be quite straightforward to implement. Let's give it a shot with your interface approach.

Cool. I'll prepare the interface for you and shoot you a PM...

Thanks for the help.

Manuel,

Our small development team put together some code to provide basic ability to add cell comments. Let me know what would be the best way to pass it to you and have you integrate it into your next build.

Hello,

I'm desperately looking for a way to create excel sheets with cell comments..

Is this possible today?

I'll check in a version that will let you add comments later today...

That would be so perfect!

I've been struggling with this for a while now, using "NPOI".. But a sheet full of comments: they (comments) become all visible.. Looks horrible... And using a template with macro to hide them is a last resort...

Okay, download the latest check-in. It will let you create comments. Keep in mind that it's halfway done so there will probably be things that don't work. If you need anything let me know and I'll implement it as needed. Right now you can add the comments like the following:

            var wb = new XLWorkbook();
            var ws = wb.Worksheets.Add("Sheet1");
            var c = ws.FirstCell().Comment;
            c.AddText("Author's Comments:").SetBold();
            c.AddNewLine();
            c.AddText("None that matters.");
            c.Visible = false;
Note: Here I only use .SetBold() but you can set any font property accordingly.
