Save as Excel Template (*.xltx)

Great Work! Have been using it extensively to generate reports from SQL server database in Excel format from

My/our need is to be able to save the workbook as template (.xltx) ... can save it .... but does not work ... the file can be saved ... but it is not saved as a template.

As I noticed with ClosedXML it is possible to open:

 - XLSX file and save it as XLSX,

 - XLTX file and save it as XLTX (Excel template file),

 - XLTM file and save it as XLTM (Excel template with macros).

But is it possible to save as different extension?

For example: open XLTX, fill it with data and save it as XLSX?

Kind Regards

Nope. ClosedXML leaves the structure of the file alone. If you open test.xltx and save it to test.xlsx it's almost the same as renaming "test.xltx" to "test.xlsx" (it doesn't work).
