How to release memory when XLWorkbook open fails ?

Jan 5, 2012 at 7:52 AM

I am using ASP.NET with vb script in my project.

1. In my code

dim wb = New XLWorkbook (Filename)

If the file is large in size (95000 records and the file size is around 6.5 MB), it throws out of memory excepion. But the memory is not released unless I logout and log in again. How do I get around this ?

2. I tried creating multiple workbooks from the same table by splitting them into different workbooks. But after I Save the first workbook with save as, the out of memory exception is thrown again. Is there a way to close the workbook or exit it so that the next workbook will not face memory issues ?

Thanks.

I just fixed the memory leak problem but haven't committed the changes (need to do a few things).

In the meantime you should be okay if you move the creation of the worksheet to a separate method that takes the required parameters for how to create it.

Hi, does the current version have the fix for the memory leak problem?
