Short answer: No.

Long answer:

The .xls format is proprietary so only ISVs have access to this information. The best I could do is to add a "worksheet.Export(toHtml/toCsv)" kind of method.

Regarding other frameworks, ClosedXML started as .Net 4.0 only but I modified it to be .Net 3.5 compatible because the differences weren't that many. I honestly don't think I would go through the trouble of working without LINQ, Lambda Expressions, Anonymous Types, etc. just to offer support for previous frameworks.

Do you have any plan to release the ClosedXML to support the Excel 2002/2003 ?

Becuase still many companies are using Excel 2002/2003.

".xls" is the file format used by Excel 2002/2003 and is proprietary. This means the inner workings of the file is not known to the general public (me). So there's pretty much no chance of ClosedXML to create Excel 2002/2003 native files.

Can we use ClosedXML if we have Compatibility Pack for the 2007 office system with Excel 2002/SP 3  ?

Sure. ClosedXML creates Excel 2007 files so if you have the compatibility pack installed then you will be able to open any Excel 2007 file with Excel 2002/2003 (including thosed created with ClosedXML).

Happy to hear this great news. I have to start a new Excel report proejct in VS 2010 by next week. Hope i can use most of the Excel functionalities.

What are all the Excel functionalities not supported now ? so i can avoid to use.
